MICA F is a fine sized grade of nature ore made through cutting processing used to control loss of circulation. It is a flake plugging material that can be embedded into the formation to improve the retention capacity of LCM pill, avoid repeated mud loss and enhance wellbore stability. Its main characteristics include good elasticity, toughness, thermostability, acid and alkali resistance and strong adhesion. MICA is an effective and economical LCM additive. It can be used as an additive for the entire system or in combination with other LCM materials while preparing loss-of-circulation pills to cure serious fracture or cavity type loss. MICA is available in fine, medium and coarse grades.
