VERSASEAL^® high-performance lost circulation material (LCM) is a combination of ultrafine mica sheets, wood fibers, chemical fibers, inorganic particles, and special surfactants. It is a double-film sealing product containing both inert materials with physical plugging film and active ingredients with chemical interface film. It can significantly increase fracture breakdown pressure and improve wellbore integrity. With the addition of VERSASEAL^® to the existing drilling fluid system, API filtration can be reduced to zero. VERSASEAL^® can be used to treat seepage, partial, severe and total losses for induced and natural fractures, faults and small vugs. Its maximum compressive strength test can reach 20MPa, and its temperature resistance exceeds 200°C. It can be used in any type of fluid system and has no influence on rheology of the mud.
