Product Description

AQUAMUL^® is an oil-in-water emulsifier used in direct emulsion systems. Direction emulsions are water-based muds wherein oil microdroplets (discontinuous phase) are dispersed into the brine (continuous phase). Its unique chemistry provides a high range of hydrophilic and lipophilic balance generating oil and water ratio as low as 30:70. It is specially used to treat out salt section washout resulting brine saturation with increased mud weight leading to fluid losses and disposal requirements because of direct emulsion systems combined a high concentration brine base fluid with oil.
