Product Description

BENVIS® 63 rheology modifier is high performance organic clay used to increase low end rheology while providing suspension and hole cleaning capacities in invert emulsion drilling fluids.  It is highly effective in improving the 3 rpm and 6rmp readings of oil-based drilling fluid without increasing the plastic viscosity. BENVIS® 63 is specially used in extended-reach, horizontal and highly deviated wells. BENVIS® 63 is effective in a wide range of oil/water ratio and stable at temperatures above 400°F. 

Applications/Functions

  • Increases low-shear rate rheological in oil-based drilling fluids without increasing plastic viscosity
  • Specially used in extended-reach, horizontal and highly deviated wells to reduce barite sag
  • Provides secondary emulsification of oil-based fluids
