Product Description
NEOMOD® 63 rheology modifier is a 100% active blend of fatty acids used to increase low end rheology while providing suspension and hole cleaning capacities in invert emulsion drilling fluids. It is highly effective in improving the 3 rpm and 6rpm readings of oil-based drilling fluid without increasing the plastic viscosity. NEOMOD® 63 is specially used in extended-reach, horizontal and highly deviated wells. NEOMOD® 63 is effective in a wide range of oil/water ratio and stable at temperatures above 400°F.
- Increases low-shear rate rheological in oil-based drilling fluids without increasing plastic viscosity
- Specially used in extended-reach, horizontal and highly deviated wells to reduce barite sag
- Provides secondary emulsification of oil-based fluids
- Temperatures stable above 400°F
- Increases 3 rpm and 6rpm readings of oil-based drilling fluid without increasing the plastic viscosity
- Decreases usage of organoclay to optimize rheological profile and hole-cleaning capacity
- Effective at low concentrations
- Can be used in all oil-based drilling fluids
- Appearance: Dark brown viscous liquid
- Specific gravity: 0.95
- A typical treatment range is 0.5-2 ppb
- Pilot test is recommended to determine the actual treatment required to obtain the desired results
