SHALEMUL® ONE is a basic one-drum multi-purpose emulsifier. It is used in invert emulsifier systems as a concentrated emulsifier and wetting agent for SHALEDRIL® diesel or mineral oil-based drilling fluid system specially applied in shale gas and tight oil blocks. It is designed to emulsify water into oil and to aid in oil-wetting of drill solids. SHALEMUL® ONE is stable in the presence of contaminates such as cement, drill solids and water intrusion. SHALEMUL® ONE requires excess lime to properly function. Compared to traditional separated primary and secondary emulsifier, SHALEMUL® ONE is cheaper with less dosage.
