BLACKTEMP® III sulfonated phenol formaldehyde resin is a concentrated cation exchange resin designed for extreme temperature drilling environments and salt-gypsum formation to provide effective HPHT filtration control in saturated brine when NaCl content is above 25% (88ppb). Its calcium resistivity can reach up to maximum 28,900ppm, equal to 8% CaCl2 dosage. The usage of BLACKTEMP® III is only 50% of BLACKTEMP® II under same HPHT filtration control requirement. The special molecular structure of BLACKTEMP® III features and highly sulfonated which deliver exceptional high temperature stability and super-hydrophilic property with thermal stable up to 400°F.
