BLACKTEMP^® III sulfonated phenol formaldehyde resin is a concentrated cation exchange resin designed for extreme temperature drilling environments and salt-gypsum formation to provide effective HPHT filtration control in saturated brine when NaCl content is above 25% (88ppb). Its calcium resistivity can reach up to maximum 28,900ppm, equal to 8% CaCl₂ dosage. The usage of BLACKTEMP^® III is only 50% of BLACKTEMP^® II under same HPHT filtration control requirement. The special molecular structure of BLACKTEMP^® III features and highly sulfonated which deliver exceptional high temperature stability and super-hydrophilic property with thermal stable up to 400°F.

Applications/Functions

• Effective HPHT filtration control agent
• Functions in NaCl brine mud when content of NaCl is above 25%
• Resistive to high content of Calcium and Magnesium
