BLACKTEMP^® I sulfonated phenol formaldehyde resin is a cation exchange resin designed for extreme temperature drilling environments and salt-gypsum formation to provide effective HPHT filtration control. The special molecular structure of BLACKTEMP^® I features and highly sulfonated which deliver exceptional high temperature stability and super-hydrophilic property. This top-level product serves as primary filtration control agent for BLACK SHARK^® HTHP WBM. It performs well in all water-based drilling fluids with chlorides below 120,000ppm and hardness not exceeding 2,000ppm with thermal stable up to 450°F. In the extreme temperature field application, it is recommended to use BLACKTEMP^® I in combination with BLACKFLO^® sulfonated lignite to obtain best performance.

• Effective HPHT filtration control agent, core product of BLACK SHARK^® HPHT water-based mud system
• Functions in fresh water, seawater, monovalent and divalent brine, as well as formate brine mud
• Ideal product when use in deep, ultradeep, high to extreme temperature wells and salt-gypsum formation
