SHARKSTAR® N additive is non-ionic starch derivative used to reduce fluid loss specially designed for reservoir drilling up to 250°F. It is commonly used conjunction with sized calcium carbonate forming a thin, easily removed filter cake, facilitating cleanup during completion, thus with minimal damage to reservoir. It is effective in both monovalent and divalent brines. Compared to PAC and other drilling starch additives, SHARKSTAR® N can increase Low-Shearing Rate viscosity (LSRV) generating a more perfect rheology.
