EZCLAY^® GITE is a special viscosifier derived from natural attapulgite clay and processed through modification procedures. Unlike bentonite and other swelling mineral thickeners, the rheological properties of EZCLAY^® GITE is unaffected by high ionic concentration. A clear advantage is that EZCLAY^® GITE allow the makeup water to be not just fresh water but brackish or brine water, saturated brine, or even contaminated with gypsum or cement at any pH level. EZCLAY^® GITE can maintain the ideal viscosity in low-solid-phase drilling fluid systems. It is an ideal drilling fluid material for marine drilling, gypsum salt formations, deep wells and geothermal wells.
