SHARKXAN^® HT viscosifier is a specially designed high-performance xanthan gum used effectively in wells with bottomhole temperatures up to 285°F. SHARKXAN^® HT produces elevated low-shear-rate viscosity and high, fragile gel strengths. These properties provide superior hole cleaning and suspension, improved hydraulics, and reduced torque and drag and assist in minimizing filtrate invasion. At mud pH values above 10.0, SHARKXAN^® HT becomes more sensitive to soluble calcium and may be precipitated out of solution, however, it can be added to most waters regardless of salinity.

• Viscosifies fresh water and brine-based fluids used for drilling, milling, underreaming, and gravel packing operations

Recommended Treatment

• A typical range is 0.1-2 ppb. SHARKXAN^® HT can be mixed directly into the system through the hopper at a rate of 20-25mins per sack. Maximum shear assures quick hydration and avoids lumping and formation of "fish eyes"
