Product Description

Product Description

The drilling environment has extremely strong corrosive effects on metal equipment, mainly due to the following factors: 1) Drilling fluid contains chloride ions, hydrogen ions, dissolved oxygen, etc., which will accelerate the electrochemical corrosion of steel materials such as drill pipes and casing. 2) The high temperature and high-pressure conditions in deep wells will accelerate the corrosion reaction rate, and common protective measures will fail quickly. 3) Mechanical vibration and erosion during the drilling process will damage the natural oxide film on the metal surface, leading to intensified corrosion. Phosphate corrosion inhibitors are mainly used to inhibit the corrosion of drilling equipment, wellbore, and pipe materials in complex drilling fluid environments. AQUARMOR® phosphate corrosion inhibitor can specifically solve the above corrosion problems, and its advantages are significant.

Applications/Functions
  • Directly added to the drilling fluid forming a protective film on the surfaces of downhole tools such as drill pipes and drill bits, preventing them from being corroded by the drilling fluid
  • Protects the inner walls of the casing and extend the service life of the wellbore
  • Protects drilling pumps, surface pipelines, and mud tanks from being eroded by the active mud over a long period of time
Advantages
  • Compatible with most water-based fluids
  • Adaptability to harsh environments: Resistant to high temperatures (above 300ºF), with high salt and high mineral content tolerance
