BARITE 5μm weighting material is a high-quality, ultrafine barite used to increase the density of drilling fluids. This high-specific-gravity mineral is the most widely used weighting material, has application in all drilling fluid systems and meets both API 13A specifications and Q/SH 0282-2009 Special Grade for barite. BARITE 5μm can be used to increase the density in oil-and water-based drilling fluids up to 22 ppg (2.64SG). It is chemical inert and does not affect drilling fluid chemical properties. Ultrafine Barites are available in 3 standard grind sizes: 2μm, 3μm, 5μm. The numbers reflect the nominal median particle size(D50) of the product.
